Sunday Funday: Favorites

A day off of work and no class?!  I would begin to dance around the apartment with my cat in hand however I’m stuck doing hours of homework.  So that of course means updating my blog.

Favorite Song: Don’t Judge

I’m over “Call Me Maybe” and have moved on to a Taylor Swift song.  Let’s not get ahead of ourselves though.  I am still not a fan of her.

Favorite Nail Color:

I suppose now that I’m done blogging, pinning, and painting my nails I should work on my homework.  Or take a nap?

Weddings: Jeff and Jamie

I had the privilege of attending my friends Jeff and Jamie’s wedding this past weekend.  I met Jeff and Jamie through Mr. Kiepert and since he couldn’t be at the wedding I filled in as one of Jeff’s groomsmen.  Just kidding.  I could never pull of a tux. Instead I attended in a pretty dress that was graciously lent to me by a friend(ahem..Shannon).

There was a mishap leading up to my arrival of the wedding(I got pulled over, was late to the ceremony), but once I made it there, it was gorgeous and so lovely.

*Pardon the camera phone quality

The lights were hung all across the ceiling and then draped down to the floor. Perfect for when the dance part began.

He’s Baaaack:

Dusty is one of Adam’s best friends and was also in the wedding as a groomsmen.  He is in the airforce so we never get to see him.  It was a charming experience to hang out with him again.

Hahn(another one of Adam’s best friends) and I before the grand march.  He’s a handsome one.

The whole day and night was a success and I am so happy for both Jamie and Jeff! I wish them a lifetime of happiness.

Concerts: Jimmy Buffett

That’s right, Connor and I had the opportunity to go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.  We sang margaritaville while drinking a Landshark beer and watching people old enough to be our parents, some grandparents, roll down a hill drunk.  It was awesome.

Here are some highlights I caught before my phone died.

Connor had to dry her shorts on the way there:

Out the window of course. Classy

The crowd that was piling into the lots outside of the concert:

Everyone had a van or truck filled with goodies.  We had a baby scion and forgot to bring chairs.

Chillin’ in Margaritaville:

Found this fancy cheesehead around the area.

Landshark:

We did good on one thing which was bringing Landshark beer.  Had no idea it was such a hit everywhere! “Fins up!”

Weedwacker-Blender:

The group next to us who pretty much had a Jimmy Buffett concert at their tailgating sight, made a blender out of a weed-wacker motor.  “Say whaaa?” were my exact words as well.

Alpine Valley:

The concert was at Alpine Valley Ski Resort, which I had never been to.  It was a nice place.  This was his 19th year there! The concert itself was down in the valley of a ski hill so you had to walk down a large hill to get to the venue.  We sat in actual seats underneath the roof.  Apparently that was not where all the fun was because when we were leaving, we looked to be the only sober ones, and the most responsible.

To say the least, Connor and I have become Parrot-heads and have vowed to make a tradition out of this every year(or get parrot tattoos….hopefully not).

Coffee Dates, Brewer Games, and A Dog Named Brewer

The weather has taken a turn for a new season, Fall.  I love fall when all the leaves turn colors, and all I need is a sweater with a nice pair of boots and I’m good to go for the day.  I am happy to report that I am doing just that.  In fact my favorite sweater so far has been my “blanket sweater.”  I don’t think it was really called this in the store but I decided it is a fashionable form of a snuggie…if that is possible.

I thought I’d catch up on some pictures I haven’t posted lately.

Connor and I went to a ball game at Miller Park to cheer on our Brewers:

This is our fantastic tailgating skills.  Actually we were lucky we even remembered to bring chairs this time.

I painted my nails in brewer colors(they got smudged).  When I went to take a picture of them I also realized, this is how I learned to describe where I live in Wisconsin.  Thank you Mrs. Tuttle of my fourth grade class.

A Dog Named Brewer:

My brother and his wife adopted a puppy corgi! His name is Brewer(my whole family really loves the BrewCrew).  This was taken on my sister’s boat over Labor Day weekend back home.  He is a little chunk.

Coffee Date!

Connor, Hud and I had a coffee and homework chit-chat date on a rainy day.

Now that it has turned into fall, I have gotten rid of my usual iced caramel lattes and moved onto Chai Lattes. YUM

*Take note of the blanket-sweater.  It’s the best.

I am loving everything about this crisp weather so far.
